A new Auto-renew feature for Office 365 is going GA now. This feature detects activity in an Office 365 Group that has been set a time bound expiration by the administrator and automatically renews that Group if it detects recent activities. If there is no activity then, it will follow the current workflow of notifying the group owner 30 days before the deletion of the Group and immediately after the group has been deleted. I like that this auto-renewal works behind the scene and there is no additional configuration that needs to be set.
